Re: Lizards n' stuff - updated

Just got a decent photo of Pooka and Chili this morning. It's hard to get them together, usually they're only out and about one at a time. They're doing well, about half grown now. Pooka is definitely a girl, but Chili is showing more and more signs of being a boy, so things might be interesting in ...

Re: Lizards n' stuff

Ginger... proper diet and light/temperature are both incredibly important to have a healthy lizard. Mine is a Uromastyx, and they drastically change color depending on their body temperature.

Lizards n' stuff

Gizmo was showing off like crazy today, so of course I had to go grab the camera :) It's hard to believe we've had him for almost 4 years now. Wish I knew how old he is, but he's showing no signs of slowing down, eating like a pig every day, and posing for the camera any time he can :) http://i187.p...

Re: My little Gracie....

So sorry to hear about your fur-baby. No matter what the circumstance, it's such a hard thing to have to go through. Though ours is a cat and not a dog... we've done the late night run to the ER vet twice with our little Monkey for digestive issues, and it always scares me. Hang in there... we're se...

Re: Time for new photos

LOL... a few more months !!! That's what we said five years ago when we got Monkey, and then a few months later Jet. I remember asking you about adding another cat back then. Oh, my. Mine still go at it every single day, but at least there are "neutral zones" in the house where they can all be at th...

Re: Introducing Gus!

nanny - I hear ya!!! All of our cats are adoptions from rescue groups :) I wouldn't do it any other way. And even though they're all indoor cats and never ever ever outside supervised, they are all still fixed. It just burns me up when people I know (parents of my kids' friends) refuse to have their...

Time for new photos

It's been a while since I've posted, so it's time for new photos :) No new pets to add to the zoo, except our newly-named resident hummingbird, Jeffrey (not sure if boy or girl, so if he's a she, her name is Jeffretta!). We spent several days constantly thawing the feeder so he could make it through...

Re: Meet Maggie Mae

She is just beautiful! I'm the same way about pets... when they are up for adoption at pet stores, I can't even go on that side of the store, or I just want to come home with all of them and love them for the rest of their lives.

She's one lucky doggie to have found a good home :)

So sorry to hear that he tested positive for F. leukemia, but he's been well cared for by special angels like you and Indy Feral :) All in all he's been a lucky cat to have such wonderful humans look after him :)

Re: How's your iris season?

Mike - Thanks for opening up your gardens for us. We had a good time walking around yesterday looking at all your iris babies, and seeing some of my plants again as well :) I haven't looked at the photos I took yet, but I think I got some really good ones :) It's definitely a beautiful place when th...

Re: Gotta vent, crazy neighbor

Oh, Kathy, yuck! If it's the kids I think it is, I pray they don't have an interest in my girls!!! NOT the kind of kids I'd want my girls hanging out with or associating with at all. My fantastic next door neighbor (with 5.9 small children) has had to ask them and their friends several times to not ...

Re: Gotta vent, crazy neighbor

We have some nasty neighbors also, the ones who used to let their young Dobi loose around the neighborhood and it would always come and poop in our yard. After catching it and taking it home to its owner several times, I politely asked her to keep her dog off of my property... When she said she coul...

They're wonderful! I had a ton of volunteer Heuchera seedlings at my other house, I'm hoping the plants I brought with me when we moved will also have babies. I had some pretty fun color combinations with my seedlings. Keep posting pix, pretty please. Looks like you have a great variety of colors fr...

Re: More Blooms!

None of them are specifically named... they're Heronswood doubles that I got before they were shut down. I sure hope they do better next year, this year they're sulking badly after being dug, potted for a year, and then replanted.
