Re: Kicked out!

I need to add that NO dog with dominant behaviours should be allowed to get on your bed!!! The dominant wolf in the pack has the best (usually highest) place to sleep. In the business world the "boss" often has his chair set up higher then any other in the room. Bigger desk also. The "boss" also sit...

Jane, H. 'Snow Queen' is my absolute fav shrub. Great leaf, flower, fall color, winter interest!
HOWEVER, They lied about the size  . Mine is about 7'x7' after aprox 10 yrs.
There is a smaller version called Pee wee. Only 3x3.

Re: Can anyone help with the name of this honeysuckle?

OK! So I'm going back a bit on this post but I haven't been here for a bit. That is Lonicera sempervirens. I I've always just called it scarlet honeysuckle. It's a vine but an older one will pile up like a shrub. It starts super easy with layering, cuttings or hardwood cutting in winter. It's not ag...

When you can't spray;
-Duct tape a 2 liter soda bottle over the end of the sprayer and put it over the offending plant.
-Paint brush
-Put on a rubber glove. On top of that put on a cotton glove. Dip and wipe.

Be careful of drip from any of these methods.

Roundup!
Any tiny little piece of root will reproduce so all that pulling is for naught.
Can you believe I've seen Creeping Charlie sold in catalogs as a "great ground cover".

In traditional dog training you are trying to teach to many things all at once. For instance, "SIT" YOu giving a command/lifting on the dogs with the collar and often times pushing down on the rear. With motivational training one of the ways (what your doing) is target training. You first teach the ...

Sis, what your doing with the pet food lid is called target training. It's the foundation for guiding the dog into doing what you want. As with ANY training, don't over work it. Your much better off doing it 4-5 times each training session. Then do that 4, 5, 6 times a day. When your watching tv, do...

Plastic milk cartons make the best cloche. The opaque white keeps the sun from burning and the screw on top allows excess heat from building up.

One of Mother Nature's evolutionary wonders! The featherless head is to avoid collecting bacteria from some of the nasty "things" they eat, and the methods they use. The sunning is another way to kill bacteria. The sun is a wonderful disinfectant. They also Pee down their own legs. Strong antibacter...

Hey Sis! got your phone message. Sorry I wasn't there to talk with you. I think your going to love agility. It's a highly motivational sport. Just wish more dog trainers would get the message that you don't need to yank and crank on a dog to get it to listen. It's all about team work and leadership,...

Potted bulbs

My DW got a huge pot of Tete-a-tete narcissus for her bday a while back. She'd like to keep and plant them outside. (gift from son) What do I do with them indoors till it's warm enough to plant? They are finished blooming but I know they need the folage for next years blooms. The folage is still gre...

Ginger, the longer coat is a recessive gene, meaning both parents have to carry it in their makup. Both Trooper's parents are the standard, short coat but, obviously they are both carriers. It's not that uncommon but because it's not allowed in the standards of the GSD, you wont often see it in Amer...

I always like the bull breeds. Very undeserving of the rep they've gotten.
Bet that Staffie Bull's bark is like a squeeking little squirrel. Never heard one that sounded like a real dog.
