Re: Hello, again, and help please.

I have seen a few new eyes on some. Flowers starting on the bigger ones. But some (4 or 5) are only one small stem with one nickel sized leaf, there are roots still. As long as there are roots there is hope, right? But new soil and compost dressed on top. Some fertilizer. Lots of water. Sunshine! fi...

Re: Hello, again, and help please.

I had to dig up 3 yesterday from the front maple bed. There were all one stem with one leaf the sized of a quarter. They might even be all from the same host just from different eyes that survived as there were only about a foot apart. I am sure my husband thinks I am nuts and should have let them d...

Re: Hello, again, and help please.

Only Fried Green Tomatoes survived at the edge of the bed under the maple tree. It is still fine and huge. Not liking that the limbs are removed from the tree and it is now in full sun all day. But it got full sun all afternoon before, it will be fine. I do have a lists, but for some reason not for ...

Hello, again, and help please.

Hello to everyone, I have been a very bad hosta momma. I used to be around here all the time, then life got in the way and it has been a few years since I have hung out here or with my hosta. I had over 100 different hosta and then - well, a disease, maple roots, lack of water and sun from very dens...

Can say we have ever given one of our Labs a banana, but I do know that Lab will eat about anything. Our first lab we got as a puppy, he ate shoes, floors, drywall, eye glasses, 2 x 4's, bushes, books and a remote control. And I don't mean chewed up. I mean ATE. I knew the remote was missing, they d...

I bought a Hoosier Dome a few years ago. The year I had the melt down. It never took and disappeared.

All of your babies look wonderful.

I am green with envy.

We had a doggie door at our old house. Installed it in the garage leading out to a fenced in area, 16 x 16. Didn't want it going into the house because we had goldens and labs. A person could get thru the door, and I did one one occasion  . Also, if we were going to be gone a long time the dog...

Thanks for asking this question, Freaky. I was going to ask myself. I have a bed along the north side of the house, under hold trees. Not even moss grows. The hosta in the front of the bed will grow, just not fast. The ones in the back will die off. Can't figure out if it is lack of sun or lack of r...

I think I paid around $40 for a L.S. Dragonfly and it has not really taken off. This year it has reduced to only one small eye.

That would be too cool, Dave. I even have the same spot that has been empty at least one year now. Hopefully anything that would have caused the rot is gone now.

Hi Dave. No I wasn't moving, but just got side tracked for a while. Yes, I did send you K.D., from mine that is now gone. Must have been some crown rot in mine that I didn't know about. That would explain why I am losing some of my babies, maybe it has gotten do some of the others. I just know that ...

I actually like embroidery a lot, at least in pictures. But, I am not going to pay $40 for any hosta when there are so many really nice ones for under $20 still to buy. I do have emerald necklace, small but nice.

Lovely plant. Cinomine Sticks is one of mine that is still thriving, thank goodness. At least I think it is C.S., none of my markers are around anymore. Need to drag out my maps and hope that are current.
