when to divide Sibs and PCIs in the PNW?

Hi Mike et al. I need to divide / move /pot up my siberians that do not bloom well, likely because of too much dry shade. I also have some PCIs that I want to get a few divisions from the edges to have for trades. I also have Iris orientalis and a few that have kind of rhizomes along the ground simi...

Re: Arisaema costatum

Andi
the one I got this year from Naylor looks great!--and it's still in a pot in the greenhouse, though. thanks for recommending it.
will I ever learn to get things in the ground?
always looking for the RIGHT place and waiting to renovate and get rid of old stuff.

Missed you at the trade.

David
Nice photo and great foliage!
I'm intrigued by the flower color on that one.
Are they bicolored?
I seem to have either pink or white flowers, those look like there is a nice darker purple tint to parts of them.

Seeds of Change

My understanding (if acquisitions/ mergers/ reorganizations /holdings, etc are current) is that Anna Ball owns Ball Horticultural and her brother George Ball owns Burpee and Heronswood.

Hori Hori? That's what I use. But there are two kinds. One is lighter weight and stays sharp and the other is heavy but not sharp. I use the heavy one, it practically pushes itself right into the ground with very little effort on my part. It is very balanced. It lives in my back pocket so i don't wa...

not just Burpee, but BALL

http://www.saveseeds.org/biography/burpee_david.html George Ball, the man who fired the last Burpee family member from their own business--what do you expect? George Ball, the man who said the Heronswood catalogs "read like a terxtbook"--(is something wrong with that?) likely did not even read them,...

And, *I* live even closer than Andi. . .
Hmm, lets see, only a year and a half--ah, Kellie, you can wait a while, what's the hurry?
Now let's see, last year's babies might just bloom next year.
Yeah, that the ticket,-- Kellie, you can pick up yours next year. I'm sure 'Doris' won't mind.

wood construction greenhouse input desired

I am considering purchasing a lean-to wooden greenhouse and attaching it's open end to a corresponding open end of an enclosed narrow lean-to shed that we would build to fit. The reason is partially-- available space and location up against a northeastern evergreen woodland. Also I just need an encl...
