I struggle to see why you think perlite won't help. I've used it liberally for years and it really does. It keeps the soil from compacting back into a cement brick, allowing for better drainage. It really does work, quite well actually. Exactly!! I use it here in the beds where our tree business is...

Hi Bill, I ended up winning the Cogleywood and will be happy to add a older registered hosta like this to the collection.
