What do you think of my new little baby (Acer Palmatum Dissectum Atropurpureum ‘Garnet’)? She is the yin to my yang. It’s just what I needed to balance out my big rock. You can see the graft in two of the photos. Not bad for only $29. :D J http://img66.imageshack.us/img66/2527/jmtree006smallqf2.jpg ...

BRAVO GEORGE!!! I hope someday I can make my Pinus parviflora ‘glauca’ look half as good as that. My PPG is finally producing little baby candles. They came out a lot later than my Pinus thunbergii. The PT grew large candles weeks ago. I'm just glad they made it through the winter. Keep us posted wi...

Hi, After reading about caliloo's great find at Lowe's, I had to go and see what they had this week. I couldn’t resist buying a 30 inch Acer Palmatum Dissectum Atropurpureum ‘Garnet’. It’s very thin and flexible and it’s tide to a bamboo stake. It was a steal for only $29. :o It appears to be grafte...

hibiscus ???
Hi,
I just fed my new hibiscus a 10-15-10 basic houseplant food. This is my first hibiscus and I was wondering if that was ok. Do you think that will work?
Thanks,
J

Hi George, I can’t believe that’s one plant. That’s a great idea about the waterfall effect. I LOVE IT! I never saw that photo before. Thanks for posting it again. I actually got the idea from your picture of the opening charity day. http://koi-z-are-us.20m.com/ I liked your junipers so much...I wan...

Hi Sam, I was sore for many days after doing this. There was a lawn that needed removing. It was after a long drought & the soil was baked hard as concrete. I neeeded a pick axe to break it up. I removed two tons of baked clay, replaced it with an equal ammount of new topsoil. At this point I quest...

Azalea help
Hi, Last fall I planted a small Azalea ‘Gumbo White’ in front of my house foundation. It’s a South East exposure and I planted it in the far end where there is sun until around 2 - 3 pm when it gets shade. It looks pretty good now, it survived the winter OK. I’ve been doing some reading about Gumbo’...
