I wanted to add a few thoughts here: I live in zone 5/6. We have hardly any snow cover during the winter. I have read that it is harder on the daylilies to live in an area like mine than it would be in a zone 4/5 with snow cover because we get the freeze/thaw cycle over a longer period of time. I ha...

Debbie Smith Clump

I just love the colors on this one. She has great branching and is so fertile. They say 6 in blooms, I would like her a little bigger with a gold edge.

A surprise spider seedling

This guy popped up in front of 2 dip spiders I have ... I think it is a cross between the 2. Purple many faces x pink super spider.
She is about 18 ht, no branching, bloom about 5", bud count was 4.
she is already promised to a friend.

Wow!
I think I got shafted on the Spacecoast Starburst. This is it's first year blooming, but it looks nothing like your picture. Mine is just a plain pink with a slight yellow edge. :(

Ed, if you like those purples, you should see Blueberry Frost. Another one that is hard to photograph. But it has a slight darker edge, then almost a silver line at the edge. Darn thing is a dip though. :(

VTHosta, now I could be wrong, but I believe those only show up on the stems of Asiatic Lilies. I know I always find them on my Tiger Lilies ... so maybe only the Tiger type lilies? I know for sure they are not on the Oriental or OT lilies.

We need more information from a Lily Expert!

Ed, you said in another post that hummingbirds love this plant. Here's to hoping that I see some h-birds this year.
I really like this red Monarda ... I started it from seed last year, so this is my first year to see it bloom.

It has turned out to be a great cut flower.
