Re: Black Squirrel!!!
Very cool. I've never seen one so I googled it and it looks like they happen naturally in the grey squirrel population. We have a population of greys with white ears, no odd white anywhere else, just the ears.

Tundra, it's nice to see your new kitty is settling in just fine with her "twin". They really do look like littermates.

Re: Black Walnut Leaves
And if you turn it into shavings make sure it stays FAR away from horses. Walnut toxins cause severe founder (laminitis, swelling of the feet) in horses. Rotation of the bones of the foot leads to the horse being put to sleep.

I think her ear hair is starting to sprout. It looks longer than the last set you posted just a short time ago! She's growing up!

Re: Flavorwave Oven
Baked potatoes are awesome out of it, just scrub them and in they go. It still takes 45 minutes for them though (how long for a baked potato in a real oven?) I've made NY strip steaks straight from the freezer, 16 minutes at 400*. I tried a pizza but it didn't cook through the middle. french fries a...

Re: They found a dog for me :)
Thanks. Borzoi is the "official" name, the "old" name is Russian Wolfhound. If someone doesn't know Borzoi I use Russian Wolfhound, same animal. :) He's doing great. He can even run with small dogs (they keep coming into the large dog areas. I let the owners know my dog may treat them like a ...

Re: Praying Mantis egg case?
I don't think so. I think they lay flat on a surface and have definate rib type texture (like the underside of a mushroom head). Re: They found a dog for me :)
Here's the best photo I've gotten on him so far. Not many photos because I'm still feeling out his trustworthyness.
He's already gone through 2 gallons of water just at home, lol! Two gallons in 6 days.

Re: They found a dog for me :)
Well, it's almost been a week and I couldn't ask for a more perfect dog for me. His big ambition in the house is to sleep deeply, lol. So deeply that I can push his head out of the way to open the refrigerator door and he won't wake up more that half opening his eyes. Only problem is he won't be wak...
