Hallson Gardens

So it could be a juvenile Northern Goshawk(?), a Red-tailed hawk (more positive?), or (rare in the eastern US)...Ferruginous Hawk?

Really have no idea...also got some thought on it being a Coopers Hawk or a young Osprey.

Caught this bird eating a squirrel this morning. He/She sat there for some time munching and tearing away. Finally it flew off, but I did get a couple pictures. I will certainly keep that in mind when I crack things open.

I'm wondering if that will be the case. When I finally do take them off and open them up I'll look/feel for a little bump at the end as the kernel. If I get enough of those I may plant to see what happens.

Has anyone tried seeds from Guacamole?

One of mine has about 3 "huge" seed pods on it. If I can find a couple kernels in them, I was going to try. Just curious to know if anyone has experience with them.

Well, both the kids entered the leaf show (something I haven't even done!). They were the only ones competing in the youth division. Courtney ended up with 1 blue (Emerald Necklace) and 2 yellow ribbons (Night Before Christmas and Formal Attire). Collin ended up with 2 blue (First Frost and Riptide)...
