I was trimming the Rose of Sharon at the curb yesterday when this caught my eye
at the top of the branch. It was holding on for dear life. Not a good bug!! The
banded alder borer, Rosalia funebris, is a member of the very diverse family of longhorn beetles.

Now where is the option for a photo??

They say we can get an early frost here by this weekend!! So I decided to take the last
48 hours and cut back the back yard!!

Chris, hope you get that job!! With lockdown again over there it sounds serious with the

I love older properties, they have are the best.

Sable is now 8 years and 4 months old, she just aced her yearly
check up and everyone there wanted her to stay. They laughed
when they fould out she has her own personal groomer that comes
to the house!! Talk about spoiled.

Oh Goose, I really miss her too. I sat down today in the garden and had
a good cry when I had to cut back a few of the hostas she sent me. What
a very special lady she was. It is a honor to have some of her special
hostas!!
