As Linda P reminded me in another forum, what most of us call Chinese Elm is actually Sibreian Elm. They do seed all over the place.

Ginger, I had a discussion about #2357.201 with a couple of people. If that's the correct legislation, from what we could deciffer, the key words were "rearing" and "raise". In otherwords, the breeder may have to not only bring the litter into the world but also "rear" and "raise" them as the "speci...

Deuce and Tabi look like great huggables for the girls.
Speaking of the girls. Where did you hide those two cute little babies of Kellie's. Definately can't be those two pretty young ladies.

Giving it for "breeders" of specially trained canines doesn't make sense to me. Trainers or handlers would be another story if they had proof of belonging to an official organization. As you say, just being a certain breed has nothing to do with the ability to be taught a given job. The GSD in parti...

Debbie, I have Thunder, who I've trained in live search, cadaver, water search, competion obedience and Schutzhund. Ursa will be trained in Explosive detection and K9 oriented protection/apprehension work. My plans are for her to go into police work or military. Other than those two working dogs, I ...

I prefer to thin out old growth on weigelia rather then prune it back. Like a forsythia, they can get really bushy on the ends where they are cut.
As far as starting cuttings, they are one of those plants that will start just about anytime. Super easy!

17lb is a pretty good size JRT but he looks to be in great weight for his size. Pete weighed about 12 lbs in hunting weight. He would drop about hlaf a pound by the end of the hunt season. At ten yrs old his house weight is about 12 3/4. Still extreamly active. Not to many working JRTs over about 14...
