Imperial Magic Japanese Iris
I made a trade several years back for some Japanese Iris. All but 2 died. This is the 4th year for these 2 and they both will bloom.

By the look of the buds it will still be a week or 2 before any open. :D Happy to say though that lots of seedlings that haven't bloomed in the past will bloom this year. Pictures WILL be taken of them. s...

Ok, I went web searching ... Looks like for our zone we should pinch them back in early June. Also, I found that you should pinch back bee balm. Found a ton of references to pinching back the asters and mums till the beginning of July as many of you stated. Found an interesting note saying for tall ...

When do you pinch back your Sedums in zone 5/6?
I've read before we are supposed to do this with the taller growing sedums. But I've never had the nerve before.
So wondering when others do this ... I don't want to cut off any flower heads.
Do you pinch back any other flowers before they bloom? Cone flowers?
Thanking you in advance.

A couple pictures of my Alliums
Last year I dug up my Gladiator Alliums and found they had produced a bunch of bulbs. What to do with all of them? I gave some away ... still had about 15. So I lined the back of one of my gardens. The back of the garden gets about 6 hours of sun, then it is in shade. so I wasn't sure how they would...

Claudia, I finally found this plant last year at an expensive local nursery. I barely kept it alive over the winter. If anyone has any hints on how to take better care of it over the winter, PLEASE let me know. I hardly see any hummingbirds in my yard, but saw one several times last year at the Blac...

Midnight, What kind did you Plant? I planted Sedum Acre and Dragon's Blood and love them both. They are kind of slow growing, but very thick. I also have Sedum Tri-color and I am not very excited about that one. I'm thinking of ripping it up. It is not a very thick covering at all. Also, each leaf i...
