Not really markings...just darker around the veins. They are quite shiny, except for the big guy. Keep the snow up there, please! We are expecting rain, but it could be a mix tonight.

I have a wire bakers shelf. Each shelf has 2 shop lights (2 bulbs each, 40 watt plant/aquarium bulbs.) They run nearly 24/7.

Mr. Leafy, about those lights...

I am growing my seedlings under plant/aquarium lights. I have seen mention here of other types of lights. Can you give me some detail? I am really loving this seed growing, talk of hybridizing. It is not a passing fad for me. When do I need better lights? What do the higher intensity lights do? Wher...

Of the 20 that germinated, only 9 or 10 actually went on to leaf out. Most are very shiny, round, and very dark green. One is taller, light green, and pointy. Most have their second leaves. More pics in a week or two.

I've got an acre here, so I will grow all that live on thru to next year, at least. I know some traits don't show up until maturity. Just don't know which.

So far, have 20 seeds germinate. As soon as they do, I put them in potting mix, with just a bit of spagnum moss on top to mark the row. I now have 5 that have their first leaves. Will take pics when they are a bit bigger.

Filagree...germination has begun!!

I checked my seeds, in damp paper towels. 7 of the 50 have the tinest root growth beginning. Those have been transferred to a bakery container. I like using this method when I am trying to keep a close eye on results. That way I can tell just how many seeds germinated, and when. Now the fun begins! ...

My first plantings (October) were Swoosh and Neat Splash. Both germinated well. The Neat Splash have mostly streaked, nice markings. The Swoosh are about half streaked. The Breeders Bed seedling seeds I got from the exchange only had about 40% germination, but they are my favorites! Highly cupped, a...
