Re: after 12 years ......

Congrats Sam!!! Not only are the flowers beautiful but the fragrance is intoxicating.

Mine bloomed better than ever this year. It needs some drastic pruning. It's growing over the fence into the neighbors yard and onto their Golden Vicary Privets.

Re: Hemerocallis dumortierri has scapes

I will surely post pictures when they bloom. I can't wait! :D I'm hoping there will be more scapes showing up.

I have one from toomanyanimals with a scape too and finally, a scape on my own OP Smoky Mountain Autumn wintersown in February 2006.

Looking good Ed!

My Dream Weaver kicked the bucket. If I replace it, I think I will go with Thunderbolt. I noticed this year that have a few Goatsbeard seedlings.

Re: Liberty, again

Your Liberty is gorgeous Linda! Mine was also planted in 2004. While it is a standout in the bed, it doesn't have those glorious margins that yours does. A couple of leaves have a wider margin on one side but they are not like yours. http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s201/Patrushka55/Liberty001.jp...

I have eyes popping up all over and a few unfurled. I know it's way too early but I have to say I am just loving seeing them already. :D The winter was way too long!!!

Looking forward to seeing pics of your new seedlings Phyllis. :D

My biggest and best growing heucheras are seedlings grown from Phyllis' seeds. It's amazing how hardy they are.

Re: Midwest Convention Garden #5

Reldon, your convention garden pics are beautiful! I'm just a little bit tardy (a month and a half) getting over here to look at them. They sure did the trick for the winter doldrums. I haven't even done any winter sowing yet. Now, I can't wait until spring when the hostas will emerge ...

Re: A small pet peeve of mine (and I say this with a grin)...

I know what you mean Chris. I think, for me, it's because I was a secretary. Proofreading was part of my job. I noticed the name too and later wondered if they really meant it to be Your Welcome as in the welcome is yours. It is spelled that way on their web site too. Another one that irritates me ...

Re: "Key Lime Pie" & Agastache "Golden Jubile

I never saw this thread last year. It popped up in a google search for agastache. Those two look very nice together. I winter sowed 5 kinds of agastache, including Golden Jubilee. I planted some Aurea (another golden one) at the edge of one of the hosta beds a short distance from Heuchera Li...

I was just checking to see if your Taco Soup Recipe was here so I could copy and paste it. I promised to make a copy for my neighbor. Now I'm going to have to make it with 3 lbs. of ground chuck. I'll bet the guys will love it with more meat. The recipe in The Hallson Forum Friends Cookbook calls f...
