Re: P.U.S.D.CAKE & BURGUNDY LACE FERN
We might have had a lot of flooding but 10 miles away was hit hard by a tornado. They are still out of power. Their fire department was destroyed along with the equipment inside the building. Many roofs taken off. Luckily nobody was hurt. That same tornado went through the town our daughter lives in...

Re: Swoosh offspring?
That's a cute name. Will see how it grows. Sunk it into the ground today. Everything is so water soaked that everything in pots is very unhappy. Hopefully it keeps growing well. The mother plant has already sent up another one just like it. LOL Must not have gotten all of that crown off of it. I rea...

Re: Differences between LS Black Satin vs Ventricosa
ok I took pics of 4 of them. The other 2 are in the sun right now and I cant get a pic of them. Also the hosta in the first pic is a lot smaller than the others. Not sure if it is still growing due to a move. IMG_2421 (320x240).jpg IMG_2422 (320x240).jpg IMG_2423 (320x240).jpg IMG_2424 (320x240).jpg

Re: Differences between LS Black Satin vs Ventricosa
there will be a lot of pics. I have about 6 or so Ventricosa and LSBS got mixed up in the bunch somehow in the move. They must be really really look alike because I just picked one and took it to a leaf show and it got a ribbon as LSBS. But it looks just like the others so I really don't know. Will ...

Re: P.U.S.D.CAKE & BURGUNDY LACE FERN
We have had so much rain I would love some sun. Had tornado warnings yesterday and lots and lots of flooding. This is suppost to be a small creek and last year was our garden. After flooding 13 times last year and 3 times so far this year we gave up that idea.

Differences between LS Black Satin vs Ventricosa
Are there any differences? I have both and can't tell which one is which. And of course tags have been moved before being mapped. I even tried seeing a difference in their flowers today.

Swoosh offspring?
I have Swoosh and it is stabilizing into a very nice white centered plant. White all the way down the petiole. That really shows off her red legs. I separated it last year and put it somewhere I wouldn't lose it. Well it wasn't the best spot. Dry and all afternoon sun. Well its back and looking good...

Thanks Chris, A friend of mine was looking in her book and said it doesn't say anything about having red on it. I was worried I got something else. AGAIN. lol

Re: ID please
Ok this one is blooming now. Flowers look exactly like Blue Angel. Could this possibly be a seedling that got away from me? Its huge. Here is a pic of both flowers side by side. And a pic of the flower stalk. They look so much alike.

Is this Crocodile Rock or not?
This was marked as Crocodile Rock but the description does not mention the red on the petioles. Here is a couple pics I took of it. If not what could it be?

Sorry to hear that it has HVX. I keep an eye out for it on mine too. This year I am worried about a few but with so much frost damage I will wait till next year and check it again. The one I am mostly concerned about is a Queen Josephine that is no longer shiny.

Re: ID please
No I don't ever remember buying a Blue Mammoth. The other possiblility is that the hosta I bought had the wrong tag. Took me a very long time to get one other correctly id'd What I bought at Aqua Velva turns out to be Hyacinthina. And that one keeps throwing out streakys. Isnt this fun. NOT I know a...

ID please
Have had this hosta for many years. In the move I lost tags. I thought I knew what it might be but it doesn't quite fit the description so I am at a loss. She stands as tall as my Blue Angel in the background and that's past my knees, vein count is 15 and leaf size is 11 wide x 12 long. Shes a beaut...

Was hoping somebody has a pic of Sour Puss. I have no idea what it looks like but I dug up 3 hosta with the tag Sour Puss os. Its been interesting trying to identify what I dug up last year. lol. The Revolution doesn't have any white. One does have a small tic of white but that could be frost damage...
