This variety has pink flowers. Sam, this color in my photo is from yesterday. It's been dark all season long. That's why I want more! :D

Here's a picture of the Sambucus in question. Look at the color of those leaves. Can you see why I want to have more of these?

I think the leaves are darker when they're new, and they green up with time. I bought a really dark cultivar this year, and it has stayed dark all season.

The Sambucus in question has lots of branches that touch the ground. I think I'll try layering. Thanks guys!

Sambucus propagation

Has anyone propagated Sambucus nigra from cuttings, and if so, can you give me any tips? How long does it take for roots to form from cuttings?

It's a grass that's definitely worth growing. Thelma agrees. Good luck!

Janet, since I'm in Washington state, zone 8, I don't have any personal experience with the cold hardiness of Hakonechloa, but I did some research and found some interesting information on another forum (shhhhh!). Technically, Hakonechloa is hardy to Zone 6, but this thread I read had everyone in Zo...

I love this grass. I've got a few huge clumps in the garden. Here's a close up of the blades. It rained today.

No, I didn't even know about this place until I saw the article. It's about an hour and a half south of me. I'm going to have to check it out!

Mine have been long-lived, but I'm thinking that's because I live in the Pacific Northwest. They do seem to love it here.

Hello, ladies! I'm still doing it, but I've been able to add back some carbs, since so much time has passed (I started in April of last year, and I've lost 30 pounds). I'm where I want to be, so now, I just want to maintain the weight, which has actually been pretty easy now. Love those tortillas!

I'm doing Atkins, ladies. I started in April, and I've lost 20 pounds! I was never a big meat eater and I loved my bread, so I thought I couldn't do this, but now, I feel great. Pat, what got me through induction was having one Atkins Advantage bar a day. I have a huge sweet tooth, and those bars ke...
