If you will leave them on the table while serving food, the length should be about the same as you woul...

Try Beano for the barley issue. It is good for more than just beans and cole vegetables.

Your baskets are amazing and you can do so many different kinds. They are just beautiful and so intricate. Do you do them to sell or do any of the craft shows in your area?

Re: Christmas Projects
One of the things I do is make "gingerbread" ornaments out of cinnamon dough. I use puffy paint to decorate the ornaments (looks like frosting) and my husband spray varnishes them. They last for several years. I have them on a tree in my kitchen. Another thing I like to do is to cut fresh greens (bo...

I admire all the work, discipline, and extensive knowledge that goes into your style of gardening. I know your next place will be just as beautiful, just smaller and easier to care for. Ho...

Re: What kind of fish...?
Koi have little whiskers, goldfish do not. When they are little, it is hard to the difference. Maybe you could check with the pond store and find out what kind of fish they have growing with their water lettuce. We had the same thing happen to us. We keep both koi and goldfish in our little pond. We...

You can repel spiders with hedge apples or the fruit of the Osage Orange. The bushes can be found in ditches. along fence lines or on old homesteads. The fruit looks like a green brain ball. Put them in the basement by windows. My mom has used this for years and it really works.

Re: What kind of spider is this????
I think it is either a wolf spider or fishing spider. They look very similar. They can be told apart by the number of pairs of eyes they have. Beer, wine, and weeding, OK. Beer, wine, and wall building, maybe not such a good idea after all.

Good fences make good neighbors. Good for you. The fence looks beautiful and will be a lovely backdrop to whatever you decide to plant there.
