Re: Coopers Hawk?
I am leaning more towards Sharp-shinned. It seems to have a shorter tail and seems realatively small over all. But I have been known to be wrong!! :-? But either way a very cool experience and so happy you and your DH had the ability and nerve to fee the bird. And photos to boot! Congrats to a job w...

Re: A Pileated Woodpecker in Central NY!
That is a great shot!! They do grab your attention for sure. No matter how many times I have seen one I always stop and watch when one shows up in the back yard. They actually can be found in most of the eatern half of the country and sections of the northwest. They do require large areas per...

Re: Corn Harvest
Indiana had a bumper crop of corn this year and they have been able to get it picked early due to our lack of rain here. A local grain bin nearby is full and they have the corn piled behind it!

Immortality
A friend on another gardening site sent me a piece of this iris last spring. It bloomed a very small bloom after I received it which amazed me. I knew it was a rebloomer but didn't really expect it since I just planted it this spring. But my gosh this weekend it bloomed again! Iris Immortality 10-23...

Re: General question about our online catalog
I think it would be an excellent idea for you as a way to increase your business. I have been on lots of sites that have both mail order and 'for sale only on site' listings. I think on site or instore sounds best.
Best of Luck!!

Re: An interesting chicken year plus more baby chicks!
LOL!!!! I think goats have to be waaaayyy easier than trying to hatch chicks!! If I ever get to have them I want enough land to keep them contained in a nice area so they don't eat any of my plants! It IS strange that people do put goats and chickens togther, isn't it! I do have one rule rega...
