In this neighborhood, anything with brindle color is part Pit. Are ther many in your area? That head really looks like one. I love the breed. It's just the high % of idioits that own them. :roll:

On the very tip of that corner are some very old double ditch lilies that I dug up at my dad's place when I first moved into my house. Since the big storm a couple of weeks ago, most of the hostas in this pic have fried. Looks like a new adventure with hems. :wink:

Yes, the milkweed vine has white sap in it. I HATE those durn things but never realized they would attract the Monarch butterfly.

Shrews are a great asset to the garden. Hopefully they don't spend a very long time in the trap. Their metabolism requires them to eat their weight in food daily. That consists of anything and everything they can over power. Including mice and voles that are twice there size.

:cool: pics! My guess, based on the leaves in the middle pics and the bark, is Ailanthus "Tree of Heaven". We called them stink weed trees as a kid.
