"Olive Oil" seedling
Even at the 2-leaf stage, this seedling stood out.
Yes, it was a yellow, but it was different from the others, in that it had an olive cast.......and the leaves were shiny. The leaves have a nice "droopy" habit, and the color has stayed consistent all 6 + months. Nicknamed: "Olive Oil".
In this photo, I tried to set up and show the difference in color, but the lighting was still too bright to do the job right

No, I didn't even know one existed--Just an "assigned" name.druff wrote:is it from the registered hosta named olive oil?
i've been looking for that plant but can't find it.
doug
It is from a 2nd gen. seedling of lost tag progeny(!) OP
Just looked it up in HL, I'm surprised someone would choose that goofy name! Sure not much on it, is there?

What I meant to say was "all of my other yellow green seedlings are matte.malaprop wrote:Mine is "semi-gloss", not high gloss like Queen Jospehine, whereas all of my other yellow green
I have a tray of yellow seedlings, and this morning I noticed a single one with HIGH gloss---I'll take a photo after I go to the dentist , and we can take a look at it.
