can you post a picture of it? I have one but its slow to come up and extremely slow to open. I dug it up yesterday and moved it because its one thick stalk w/leaves trying to open but not attractive at all and doesnt look like any hosta emerging in the spring at all. I'll post a pic in a little while.

Mr Big
I don't have a picture yet but I got my division last year that had a 19 inch long leaf on it that was pretty ugly.
This year it looks amazing and the leaf is already massive.
I have it in full shade for a bigger leaf but of course a smaller plant.
I will take a picture tomorrow.

I have learned that Hosta 'Mr. Big' LOVES water. When we moved I took our largest clump and put it in the display garden, hoping for it to turn into a great background plant. It shrank for 3 years in the dry soil and didn't even bother to return this spring
So as an experiment I stuck two others in the edge of the bog (well, I learned today it is a fen, not a bog, which explains the very high pH of our soil). The two that are wet all the time are getting huge. I'm thinking of moving more of them down there!

Hmmmm
Bogs, fens and hostas - now you got me thinking Chris - what better environment could there be?
Might try an experiment or two.
I think I might be the only fool to wander into bogs anyway.
