Small blue
good work Mark. that is a great looking plant. that plant is proof of why you should give a seedling time to mature.

Well Maureen asked what the flowers are like and to be honest they suck as is demonstrated in the picture below but on a brighter note it stays bluer than anything else in my garden during the summer.

Whataya mean, they suck? Looking at that pic reminds me of a July 4th fireworks display. The leaves are the big fireworks exploding and the blooms look like flags waving or like the gunpowder smoke that comes after the big bang!
I think it is totally cool!

It brings to mind Blue Arrow with that upright form. However it has that waviness and the leaves are narrower.
Did you say this is only a yearling?
The substance looks good, is it?
The flowers are secondary but perhaps a third or more generation cross with this as the base would result in the flowers not being ... soooo, errr, sucky?! (smile) ...
Put me on the list for division. I'm serious.

Thanks everyone. This plant is by far the longest lasting blue in my garden and it's color is still holding up well. An offer to some canadians, I plan to divide this plant after i collect seed this year just in case something bad happens to the original plant so i will probably have a division available if somone wants to try it out (preferably in a warmer location than where i live. Contact me if you are intrested. Also Helen this plant is four years old as i am no Leafmold lol.
