Hi All--Gold Regal is one of the varieties that every hosta grower should have. It is an excellent plant that does very well in a variety of conditions. I purchased the plant in 1994 and have it growing in a spot that gets 2-3 hours of mid-day sun. Its size has been remarkably stabile. Starting in 2001 it measured 49x22, 48x24, 48x22, 54x22, and 50x23. I can't think of any other of our larger varieties that has changed so little over that much time. Zilis lists it at 63x32, Wade & Gatton at 40x36, and Lemke's registration information is 24x20. Slugs usually leave Gold Regal alone.

Gorgeous Hosta. Unfortunately, too large for me to add at this stage. Will have to admire it in other gardens.
