I'm going to be in Arkansas the first 3 weeks of June. Sure hope I can get back home in time to attend also. It will be good to see Trudy again (last saw her at a gathering in Davenport when we were still at the other forum) & meet some of the others who post here also.

Great news to hear that we have some visitors coming. Let see so far we have:

Lucy
Renaldo
Sue
Jo
Jackie
Hostanquilts
Roxanne
Linda P.???

I keep hoping Chris can make it, but we know how hard it is for him and Brian to get away this time of the year.

If I left anybody out let me know.
We can add the total number of guest that will be coming with the forum memeber later.

Also we are not sure at this time how many gardens will be on the tour. At one time there were only 4 gardens. We will see what happens. I do realize that 6 will be hard to see them all, since some people that are traveling will need to get back.

Not sure about the food yet either....dont get your hopes up on the Almond Cakes (there wont be much baking going on trying to get a garden ready), but you never know what can happen.
We will be providing some kind of hot meat in crockpot for sandwiches.

Connie, nice to see you posting again.....we now how busy you are, so thanks for checking in.

I am so bummed about this! We got the wedding invitation, and it is at 3 in the afternoon, about an hour EAST of here. Then, the reception is at 5. This is a big deal wedding, a nephew that we never thought would marry. I really do need to be there. Even if I left right after the wedding, it would still be about 8:30 at night before I could get there. DH is actually paying someone to do the milking so he can attend the wedding. He probably averages taking a milking off about twice in 5 years.
Anyway, I'm going to have to take a deep breath and say that I can't make it this year. I hope to see some of you at Midwest Regional.

Linda,

Come after the wedding / reception and go to the ROHS summer mtg / auction / garden tour on Sunday with us. the ROHS is normally a great time and a chance to buy some awesome plants at the auction. You can stay over Sunday night too & drive home Monday. I'll try to take Monday off work too. It will be fun! I would love you to come.

Other people that might be interested in the ROHS event on Sunday, June 29th, let a ROHS member know and you can be our guest. It's a good time. See the http://rohs.org/ website or PM Pepper 1 or me or Reldon or Trudy.

Think about it, girl friend!

You don't want to ask me any questions about the ROHS summer tour. Cuz I didn't realize it was the next day until Marlys' post...  I kept meaning to look it up on the website, but I hadn't gotten that far yet.

That would be great if you could make it for the ROHS tour, Linda!! :D I have a couple of friends in the IA/NE Shady Choice group who are planning to come this year. Kim & Lisa drove down from MN for it a couple of years ago. It's always a fun time!! :D

Hey do any of you in Iowa have H. 'Three Sisters'? I saw it at Flying Frog Farms in 2004, but didn't get it. Erin is one of three girls, and I also have three sisters, so it is now on a "need to get it" list. I'm going to both St Louis and Chicago. So could make the transfer there.

Hey Linda....sounds like a plan that you and Marlys have going....maybe we will see you after all :)
We could do a bon fire for a later evening event, have lots of room at the fire pit. Also I found out today there is a barn dance down the road from us.....sounds exciting.

David....I am one of "three sisters", and have one of those hostas.
Not sure if I will be able to make it to FFF or the Farmer's Market to pick one up for you, but I can look at mine and see if it needs some dividing.

Renaldo, good thing Marlys mentioned the ROHS tour, so you can make it :)

Not sure if we will be going Sunday, but the tour/auction is fun.

I'm glad she did too, Trudy. :) But it won't be the same on the ROHS tour if you & Bruce aren't there. :???:
