Just wanted to say Hi. New around here and pretty new into Hosta's. Bought my first house a few years ago and have quite a bit of shade, looking at what plants grow in the shade found Hostas and fell in love with em. Started planting most of em about a year ago. I have mostly large/giant Hosta's consisting of Blue Angel, Earth Angel, S&S, Sagae, Komodo, Liberty, and a few others I need to get ID. I'll get some pics up latter. Also got my first order from Chris this week and loved em. Big beautiful plants. Excited to learn more and watch em grow. I also have a few questions to ask, so hopefully don't get to annoying!

Welcome Owen,
I started with Hosta about 4 years ago and this is a great place to ask questions.
Glad to have you.

Welcome to the Hosta Forum. It's a great place to ask questions. Those of us who've been committed (maybe in more ways than one) for awhile, absolutely LOVE enabling a newbie addict. I look forward to your questions.

Re: New Here
Hello and welcome, Owen! You're off to a good start buying plants from Hallson.
As Ann said, we love enabling fledgling addicts. It's only a matter of time before your collections doubles, then triples, then quadruples....
I went from a handful of hostas to 0ver 60 varieties in a couple of years, and I think I'm on the lower end of the spectrum as far as newbie collectors go.

Re: New Here
Hi, Owen, welcome. It is only fair to warn you!! We are a group of enablers and love to ensnare others into our Hosta Mania. So take a deep breath and dive in. There are alot of knowledgeable people in this club. I, however, am not one of them, I am rather a novice at this, so listen to to them and learn, that's what I am trying to do.
Lovin' the great northwest!
