Post by boops »

I don't remember purchasing one-but a few years back I remember being on a buying fragrant hosta frenzy-Could this be Fragrant Queen? no flower stalk yet.

Might be Fragrant King or Fragrant Dream.

Probably Fragrant Dream as it blooms in August, and Fragrant King blooms really early and this is just starting to grow a stalk now.

Definitely not 'Fragrant Queen'. 'Fragrant Dream' is a likely bet. I do not recall 'Fragrant King' blooming any earlier than other fragrant ones...don't feel like going to look right now as I would get wet.

It seems a bit too corrugated to me to be any of those. Definitely not Fragrant Queen, but I don't know what it is...

Not a Frances Williams wrong colour altogether and shape. Not so sure I would go with Queen Josephine either thats more rounded and VERY shiny with more of a cream edge. Still think it has similarities to Francee or its progener Patriot maybe bot wide enough a white border though.

Looks just like Formal Attire to me, which I've grown for many years...but there are probably some other cultivars that it could be also...
