Hi Chris, The folks over at Hosta Library value your opinion highly and suggested I send you an email. I'm very concerned about a hosta I purchased at a nursery here in Ontario. Please have a look at the pics...Do you think my Celtic Uplands might have HVX?

Hello,
If it is just this one leaf showing that distortion then I don't think it is HVX. Keep an eye on the newer leaves (I suspect by now a lot more leaves are showing) as they will be able to show you better. Often when just the first outer leaf has something like this it is damage as the eye was emerging that caused it.
