Name: H. 'Frosted Dimples'

Description: Pebbled blue foliage is surrounded by a creamy border. The blue colour holds longer than most other hostas. Leaves are lightly folded, lightly wavy, with curved and twisted leaf tips and overlapping variegation.
Size: Medium - 32"w x 12"h
Origin: H. ‘Blue Dimples’ x H. ‘Silver Frost’ (D. Dean 1999)
Flowers: near-white, bell-shaped flowers in mid-summer
Added to garden: Spring 2007

I love the powder blue colour of this one. By 2011 it was beginning to develop some seer-suckering of the leaves and looking quite good.

Chris, I finally found the list I lost when I visited you in September. It had slid between the armrest and the seat. Frosted Dimples was on the list! Hope you don't sell out of this one next year, I'll be back to get one, plus a few others ......well, probably as many as will fit in the car!

I got three of these from Chris in the spring and they're still looking good when most of the hostas have turned yellow. I still have 'em in pots, but they're going into a prime location this weekend.

My three tolerated the extreme heat rather well, despite being in full morning sun till around 11 or 12. And they kept their blue color to boot! I think they slept this year so I'm really looking forward to next spring!

I have to agree with everyone. Every garden needs a FD. Mine has performed well since 2007. Love the colour, substance and shape.
