Hi All--Parky's Prize was added to the garden in 2004 and planted in a spot that is heavily shaded until late afternoon, when it might get a little direct sun. The plant has had an excellent growth rate, particularly considering it's location. It started at 19x9 in 2004, was a much fuller 26x8 in 2005 and kept right on that track in 2006 when it filled out to 40x13. Lemke lists it at 36x18. That size will not help to distinguish this attractive variety from the similar appearing Golden Tiara.

It does look like an enlarged version of Golden Tiara. I'll beat jgh to the punch today & say that I believe Parky's Prize is a sport of Birchwood Parky's Gold. Those 2 would look good together with Sweet Home Chicago, the gold-centered, green margined BPG sport. I have BPG & Sweet Home, but not Parky's Prize. They make nice medium sized hostas.
Parkys
I have Birchwood Parkys Gold but this one seems to hold its own.
It is one of those hostas that look very nice but I wonder how many people have it in their collection.

I have it and Sweet Home Chicago.
Looking at the way the rhizomes spread on Golden Tiara, compared to the tight clump of the Parky's prize group, I notice that GT tends to look a little less organized, while PP, SHG and BPG have a very nice symmetrical round clump. Sort of a starburst or fireworks effect. See what I mean?
