Looks like a wonderful new location. May you and your family settle in as nicely as it looks like the hostas will. Your hostas in pots look wonderful and sooooo mature.

Did you leave any eyes at the old place or will the new owner just have bare spots!

Wow! The place looked great in the before pics...and amazing in the after pics! Looks like a beautiful neighborhood, too!

I would be interested in seeing before and after pics from your former home...before-when all the hostas were there...after-without all the hostas. A new twist on the before and after scenario!

Seriously, though, it looks beautiful. Congratulations! Enjoy!

Looks beautiful, Dave! I don't envy you all the digging but after the project is finished I'll be totally jealous of all the land and hostas. Do you have other areas where you will be able to put out more seedlings later on?

That's a great hosta property, Dave!! :D I just hope you've got enough room for all 1000 + your future purchases & seedlings.   I was beginning to wonder until you mentioned your space across the pond. LOL It's gonna be absolutely gorgeous. :P It sounds like the place met all of your requirements. Can't ask for more than that. 8-)

And if you need any help planting, just let me know. Maybe I can hire out to you. Looks like it will be a nice cool setting for digging and planting under all those trees.
GO HAWKEYES!!!

Dave, your new place is beautiful!!! You will have so much fun designing and planting. Try to remember that when your back hurts and you fall into bed every night with exhaustion. That truly does look like hosta heaven in the making. We can't wait for the 'after' pics. I'm sure it will just keep getting more beautiful!

I can't walk to my parents' house from the new place, but it's about a 7 or 8 minute drive. I'll be entertaining guests a lot, judging from the number of visits I've been getting from them and their friends, and the rest of my family!
