The official pronunciation (it's a place in Japan) is Sah-gah-eh, with all three syllables getting about the same stress. But the way Americans pronounce things, it might be o.k. to think of it as sah-guy.

I think everyone knows this is my favorite hosta. That's mine, from a few years ago and in fairly early spring, on the front page of the [url=http:hostafaq.westside.com]Hosta FAQ[/url].

This year it's not looking quite as good. I'm not sure if it was a spring frost problem here or if it's suffering from some competition with a Redbud tree nearby. It's a little lopsided. I hate the thought of digging it up to diagnose the problem, though! Last summer it was easily 7' across.
