What beautiful and vibrant color! But is the two pics of the same bloom? I ask , because the colors are very different on my monitor. The first one is a fuscia color and the second one much more purple. :???: Either way...they are gorgeous! :D

 @ Wishiwere,
Both pics are the same flower. The first pic is MD photographed in direct full sunlight. The second front shot is under more shaded conditions.
This flower starts off with a crimson red pedicle and Tubus Angustus and blends into a fuscia up the lobes and is red again on the lobe tips. As the flower ages it darkens to a fuscia/plum colour. Metalic flecks are blended through all these colours looking very much like a bottle of sparkle nail polish.Very difficult to describe :???:
All my dark flowers have a different inner and outer colour.
here is another shot :P
This flower is on a wavey chartruse plant with red pets.
thanks for all your nice comments,

Now, that's my idea of an eye-catching flower no what the species of parent plant!!!

LM, your hostas are beautiful, but guess you've heard that before......Do a wide angle of your garden beds just to torture us, OK???
