Hi All-- In the summer of 1999 I divided a mature clump of Gold Standard, removing about 5 eyes that became today's plant. The color pattern on the leaves were typical for Gold Standard. In 2000 the new plant emerged with all gold leaves as shown in the pic. It is similar to an all gold sport of Gold Standard called Richland Gold but from the photos in the Hosta Library, Richland Gold may have more chartreuse coloring. My plant's size has averaged about 58x19, a bit larger than Zilis' 45x18 listing for Richland Gold. I suppose the only way to know if this is the same plant as Richland Gold is to compare DNA, but for my informal purposes it is "close enough". By any name, this is an attractive, bright plant that is a nice addition to our garden.

Very pretty! Do you have to use slug bait on this one?
I'm all of sudden noticing slug markings on my hosta
None all summer with the dryness till we finally had rain a couple weeks back and now they rear their uglys heads!

I have planted some of these with hyacinthina to show off the contrast in colors with identical mound/flower shape.
I am keeping them out of the sun because I don't like the parchment color they can get. Your pic is a beauty for this cultivar, which generally doesn't get my attention.
