Thunderbolt
I took this picture of Thunderbolt today 9/11/07, it was planted in the spring of 2006.
It has held up as good as any here.

Loverly !
I can only hope my looks as good in the years to come! It's looking really poor lately, as it's in a spot that gets hit with the lawn sprinkler! It's looking a bit burned up this last month

Thanks this is one of my favorites, just looks better and better and bigger every year! It's was just after a hard rain when I took the picture and dirt did get on it's leaves. I'm sure yours will get just as huge and not burn as it gets older. Mine has been holding it's blue color all seasons, it does get afternoon sun.

Ed? How much sun does yours get? I've got one that did well, and another that is doing very poorly!

Hi my Thunderbolt's that are doing good "I have 3, all planted same year" get about 2 hours of mid morning sun, then very bright dappled shade the rest of the day.
The one doing the worse is in an established hosta bed that
gets no durect sun at all, most of the hosta's in that bed thrive, but the Thunderbolt doesn't look nearly as good as the other two, but the leaf is much larger.
I will be moving it next spring.
Thunderbolt is a beautiful hosta that gives the garden the it thing, I have a Liberty planted fairly close, the effect of to whole bed looks just great. Next year this bed will be three years old so I would expect it will look even nicer as the hosta's grow larger.

Thanks! I'm thinking it's just tree roots. Next spring, I'll have to move the ones also

They look like flowers when they are first emerging, don't they? Pretty!
