Pic of the Day--Stirfry
Hi All--Stirfry in our Friendship Garden is located in spot that is near an opening in the forest canopy and so it gets a bit more sun than most of the other varieties there. Unfortunately, the photos I have are not the best but they do show the growth of the plant from 24x11 in 2006 to 33x14 this year. It will have little trouble passing the 20 foot rule when it hits maturity at somewhere between 24x12 (according to the registration info) and 72x26 (the top size listed by Zilis).

I got some photos of the unusual leaf tips on this plant today - it has the same background as Bridegroom ('Holly's Honey' selfed).

Nice-one of my favorites, dependable, not bothered too much by slugs. Mine has buds but did not bloom yet.
Re: Pic of the Day--Stirfry
Stirfry blooms and sets pods for me, but the pods open and abort just before the seeds ripen. I've tried bringing them in and putting in sugar water, but the seeds just do not ripen.
Re: Pic of the Day--Stirfry
You know I never noticed if mine do that, I'm going to keep an eye on them and see.

I wonder if being from a "selfed" parent makes them sterile.
