Hi All--I received Lakeside Mom as a gift in 2002 and have been growing it in an area that gets 2-3 hours of mid-day sun. As a streaked variety, it has the potential of producing variegated seedlings although I have not used it that way. Although some people have plants that are quite stable, my plant has been producing some solid colored eyes. Starting in 2002 it has measured 11x5, 13x4, 19x8, 27x11, 34x11, and 34x14. Lemke lists it at 36x18. The plant has had some problems with late season deterioration and fending off critters.

I'd grow that one in a pot. Easier to hybridize and remove unwanted solid eyes.

That one has been on my wish list for awhile. Can't find a Canadian source for it. Budd has it on his out-of-date web site, but it has never come in.

I have some really nicely streaked seedlings from mine. I only got a few seeds from it, due in most part to the extreme heat and drought during the time it was in bloom, but there was a high percentage of streaked ones.
Aside from the breeding potential, I like the looks of this one!
