Dunno what's wrong with her this year but she looks scared to death! Came straight up out of the ground with her leaves every which way and hasn't relaxed yet!! lol!

I remarked this weekend that a lot of our hostas came up more "upright" than usual... I'm assuming some relationship with our very late and wet and cold spring which resulted in very late emergence.
I actually have a couple that haven't yet unfurled... an Embroidery in deep shade, for example. But for example, my Montana Aureomarginata stayed completely upright for several weeks, leaves held upright or horizontal but not starting their attractive downward curve until just this past week.

Great looking plant! I don't see anything wrong...that's about what mine looks like.
I think it was Bill Meyer who described hostas like balloons in the spring. They will keep absorbing water and keep expanding as long as it is available (...to an extent. There comes a point when they stop expanding.) This year...in the Midwest, anyway...there has been an unlimited supply of water, so the hostas are especially "full."
