She is so cute! And those are amazing pictures wow!
Re: Hummer on Plantaginea
Cute hummer! Love how tiny her feet are. They are so little...looks strange seeing one just sitting down. She must be resting before her migration. Long way for those tiny wings.
In joy or sadness, flowers are our constant friends.

Re: Hummer on Plantaginea
What great pictures. I have a feeder hanging from the edge of the roof that I can see from my kitchen window & I really enjoy watching them. There is so much greenery behind them, that the camera won't focus on them. The feeder has a perch that they land on & then there is a tree a short distance from it where they'll land. It is really interesting to see them land & prean themselfs.

Re: Hummer on Plantaginea
Last year being our first here we thought it fynny to see them perched in our big Ash tree. Never had really been were we see them all day. But they really do perch a lot. We planted a small birch last fall in the front yard and that has been very popuplar this summer as well as the wires and we see the on the trees across the road too. I have attached limbs that have broken off our trees to all the shepherd hooks and they love those!
We have feeders on the front porch and 2 out the back family room window for easy viewing!

Re: Hummer on Plantaginea
My house plants are on the little porch of the apartment we're in this summer . . . when I noticed hummers at the red tree hibiscus flowers, I quickly put up a feeder, which they found within 5 minutes. I've been thrilled that when I'm on the porch using my cell phone (poor signal inside) they're willing to feed just a couple feet away from me!! I never have my camera, though -- I'm going to have to go out there someday armed! Love your picture!

Beautiful pictutes, I have seen them hit my hosta but never got shots of them. Thanks.
I do have shots on my feeder. This is old. The under-brush in the background has been cleared for planting.

Re: Hummer on Plantaginea
What a surprise to this up at the top!! Thanks...our hummer population was down this year. Hoping we get more this year! Luckily the plantaginea is right out the front door so I can take pics from inside thru the storm door!
