I don't think picture repetition is a problem; thanks for sharing.
If you had to chose between Guilt by Association and Dancing Queen who wins and why. THanks.

Thanks for the wonderful pics, Beth!! Your hostas are looking fantastic this spring. Glad to see your Spilt Milk is making such a strong comeback.
I see that I will definitely be needing Dancing Queen. I'm a sucker for those wonderful rippled/piecrusted edges that Kent is a master at breeding. I remember seeing a Guilt by Association in a tour garden last year, and thinking now I know what all the fuss is about over this one. For some reason it never trips my trigger in pics. Love the name though...

Guilt by Association from picture: rippled edge, deep veins and a white back? Is it hard to grow?

Lovely picture. they all help those of us whose Hostas aren't up yet. About 40% of mine have broken ground but none are yet unfurled. But it's still about 10 days early for here.

Beth you did it for me
I have tried to tell myself I didn't care much about hostas and gardening no more... Some how havingg hostas on the ground , in pots here and there and some in the ground.. but where have due to the lousy landscape gardener I asked to do my new garden... filled up with weeds, stones and a stony like concrete underground.. just took the fun out of it
But your pics will get my but out in the garden to see where a few of them are
Thanks

Oh Pia, sorry to hear about your bad experience with the gardener, don't give up, you can make it better! Your hostas need you...

Wish I could find my pic of Dancing Queen from last year! It is the most incredible hosta! It bursts out of the ground with vigor and color and the gold just glows! Go for it!

Ah....is there anything better than hostas in the spring? I have some that are up, a very few starting to unfurl. No sign yet of Dancing Queen, but I can't wait to see it.
Your Queen of the Seas is really looking good! And Gilt by Association...mine was a secret trade plant, and one that I really love. I have some interesting seedlings from it, too. Yesterday I noticed that I have 5 eyes on War Paint this year(another secret trade plant!!!)...will have to keep an eye on it. Last year we went from a very cold, late spring right into hot summer, and the variegation didn't stay long.
Thanks for sharing that burst of spring, Beth!

Wonderful pictures, Beth!!
I was out in the rain yesterday looking around. I have eyes up all over the place. It won't be long now!

Beth, my War Paint you sent me in the hosta trade last year is just poking up good and strong, with Misty Gold nearby. Can't wait to see it!
Gilt, not Guilt in the Hosta name 'Gilt by Association'. It's a Pun, Kevin Walek is an attorney.
Gilt is for Gold.

Loved the pictures, matter of fact, I ordered a Queen of the Seas today. Love the shape and color!!

Thanks for the great pics...
I, too, am a big fan of War Paint. In general, I've avoided viridescent hostas, but this one is so doggone gorgeous in the early stages... and I still like it when the variegation is less subtle... that it makes it worth it when it finally goes all green. I've got it in a spot where it takes all the attention early in the season, then fades into a background plant for smaller, brighter ones that come into their own later in the season.
