With the addition of this year's newest hostas, I've discovered my garden is sadly lacking solid yellows/golds. I'd love to hear what your favorites are (and see photos). Your input will really help me figure out what else I need to order.
I have aquired many yellows over the last few years for the same reason....a bright spot in the garden. I found that squash casserole , glory, and sunpower are a few of my favorites.

For early spring yellow, Dawn's Early Light is hard to beat. Dancing Queen, Summer Warrior, Jimmy Crack Corn, Rosedale Golden Goose, High Noon, Golden Sculpture, Gold Regal (if you grow it in a little sun), Choo Choo Train, are all medium to large (or extra large) ones. Cheatin' Heart is a nice mini or small yellow. I know there are many more, but I need another cup of coffe to remember them.

I love 'Dragon Tails', don't have a picture, but its a great yellow mini.
Also have a dud 'Great Lakes Gold'; it has lovely yellow leaves, but no ruffling. Got it as a tc, as it developed leaves got huge, but didn't develop the tell-tale pie crusting.

Fire Island with its lovely red legs. I also have Sunpower, but I don't find it particularly yellow. Minis - Dragon Tails and Cracker Crumbs. Chinese Sunrise is also quite yellow at this time of year.
Then there are those that have yellow parts - the inner leaf of Remember Me and June the outer edge of First Frost and others that will go white later.
OTHER THAN Dawn's Early Light ( ), this is my most exciting gold seedling this year so far. It's kind of floppy and low, but crazy-rippled and bright with a hint of red petioles. It's an open-pollinated seedling of 'High Kicker'. Fun stuff!
