Hosta living quilt

Post by SWMOgardens »

The Greater Ozarks Hosta Society had this booth set up at the Springfield lawn and garden show this weekend. Pretty neat don't you think?

Nice display. Nice to see hostas. Will be awhile before we see them here. What was used to make the silvery borders on the squares of the mini garden?

It was even prettier in person! I loved the use of the reindeer moss as borders, it really set it off. Very creative!

I wonder how early they had to warm up those hostas to have them looking so good in February?
Very, very clever, and simply delightful.

Oscar Cross of Hilltop Farms is one of our members. I think he started forcing them out of dormancy around mid January. We just got the OK to set up our display at the botanical center. That will introduce 100's of people to mini hosta. Cool!
