Sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved pet. You may want to look at Don Rawson's list of Memorial Gardens for some suggestions.

I'm so sorry about the loss of your beloved Missy. Do a search of the Hosta Registry or My Hostas database and you might come up with a name. Or you could name a seedling after her or go with something like 'Remember Me'. Good luck coming up with something.

So sad, to lose a furry friend. I planted a viburnum over my last dog, because she liked to lay under them
and watch me work in the garden.
Just a thought, but what about Spilt Milk for your friend? It's always seemed to me to be a purrfect hosta
to plant in memory of a kitty friend.

I'm so sorry about your kitty. She was a beautiful cat. I planted Guardian Angel over my cat when he passed.

Linda's reply rang a bell with me... she loved to hide under my huge guardian angel...I think I have a winner.. I sure miss her. There's such a void in the house..

I was also going to suggest 'Remember Me', but I got beat. I'm so sorry for you loss and an appropriate memorial is definitely in order. However, do ensure that you learn what the mature plant will be like before buying. I've had a couple that I've bought - names of family members - that I don't much like the mature hostas. That can be awkward with family members and disappointing with a memorial for a pet.

I did plant a Guardian Angel division over her and also an Eternal Flame, too. I can't believe how much I still miss her yet. I have 2 new shelter cats with me now and they help fill up the void, but she was totally unique!

I think many of us have had a pet who let a huge hole in our hearts. My cat of a lifetime left us a bit over 10 years ago and I still miss her. So we understand completely. The choices of hostas sound wonderful.

As the story Goes Remeber me was named by a lady who was dying of Pancreatic cancer she didnt want the plant to be named after her so picked the Name Remeber Me. My mother also died with cancer of the Pancreas and before she died she said once I am gone all I ask is Remeber Me she hated hostas but I thought the story was rather touching and went out and got a Remember Me Alas to say that one didnt last long a brighter June if you ask me so I put one of my Junes in more sun.
