Fairy Rings

Post by Barefoot Gardener »

I seem to have quite a few fairy rings this year. Not in just one garden either but several of them.
I have dug up the corrupts and did not find anything out of the ordinary, No tree roots, no varmits, no nothin
I either replanted the hosta or divided it out.
Any suggestions on what gives?

Usually it happens if the plants are mature. The middle just starts to die off over time.

Well I would agree with that except or the fact that some of these hosta are only about 2 years old.

I've also seen discussions that indicated this occurred when the hostas are planted too deep (or was it too shallow?). I don't really remember which, but it MIGHT be related to planting depth.
