Hosta of the Day 'Stiletto' - Post Your Pics
It's going to be a busy morning tomorrow; so here is the hosta for Sunday - 'Stiletto'. Mine came from a friend almost exactly 2 years ago and it came in a styrofoam cup.

Re: Hosta of the Day 'Stiletto' - Post Your Pics
Here's mine, from a couple of days ago. This is my main plant, in a 2-gallon pot. It looked worse a month ago or so, mostly because of a minor botrytis issue from a very wet spring along with some slugs. The 2nd stage growth is all coming in much nicer, although there's still some minor slug damage. I don't use much slug bait at all here, primarily because of my 2 dogs, don't really wanna poison them accidentally. My original division of this cultivar came from Ottawa a few years ago...

Name: H. 'Stiletto'
Description: long, thin, green leaves with a rippled white margin
Size: Mini (8"w x 6"h)
Origin: H. 'Amy Aden' x H. pulchella variegated form
Flowers: pale lavender flowers in midsummer on 12" scapes
Source: gift from a friend
Added to garden: August 2009
Notes: Makes a small, tidy mound. Probably could be divided for a border.

2014 - a 6 yr-old plant that has never been divided. (Unless I shared a bit of it with Pieter above - he says his plant came from Ottawa and I know I took him a couple of plants once when I was in Vancouver). Picture July 16, 2014.

Not only do my chipmunks like Stilettos the Garter Snakes like them too. Grasshoppers, toads and slugs are a draw.
