It started opening its flowers a couple of days ago. Yesterday 4 were open but one was out of sequence.

2016 update. A long, hot dry summer with fewer slugs than usual. This was in much better shape than usual when it bloomed in late September.

Red October seems to be fully up really early this season.

My Red October is not branching its scapes this season.

Not seeing it on tardiflora either.

Weird - these plants have branched consistently.

2017 update - July 12. Don't have much later as we were away the last half of August and the slugs were really bad in a very wet year.
