This picture taken July 18. The plant was divided up in the spring and what I didn't sell was replanted in 3 groups.

I'm thinking of increasing the pace of posting and doing 2 or 3 each day, all in the same post so that we get through them faster. I have only about 170 varieties and I specialize in mini - medium hostas with only a few really large ones; so there are LOTS of hostas I don't have which are worthy of being identified as the daily hostas.

What do you folks think?

Hi Ann,

If you wanted to post more than one a day that would be okay, but definitely keep them as separate postings. You'd be surprised how often people search for things and hit on this forum, and these pictures and information are fantastic references. But if you combine them they won't be as useful and won't index as well in the search engines.

I really need to get the camera out soon and get pictures before things go down for the year. Last summer I divided up a clump of Raspberries and Cream and they all did very well for me, and I even sold a couple. They are flowering now and look terrific. I wish I had enough to offer by mail but when there are only a few I tend to keep them here to continue propagating them and will only sell a couple if people see and ask for them. This is a really nice plant. :)

Ann,
I really enjoy the pictures from yourself, Gayle and others. I know you would like to see more to compare and such...I'm not in a position w/ electronics to contribute pictures as much as I would like; someday.

I would vote you don't rush things. Perhaps, contributions will fall into place as the season winds down. :)

I agree, I love to see your and Gayles post, but I hardly have any mini/small ones before this year, so no pics from me either.

But I have been sad we neverr saved the POTD's from hank and some other very useful topics, so let them be easy to find as individual plants and if it last to next spring :D It would be terriffic :D

I thought I posted a reply to Chris, but it's not here. Had to go out of town to play a concert this evening and am now back, but the afternoon was a bit hectic. Chris makes a compelling reason for sticking to just variety per post. Looks like it will take about 4 months of daily postings to finish MY contributions to the daily hostas. :)

I still like this one and it's lovely now that it's blooming in mid-September.

2014 - modest growth, but this one is pretty mature. As I post this it's COVERED in large pink buds and next week will be in full bloom. Picture July 8, 2014.
