This is a pic from 2008, but it still looks about the same. I've taken a solid blue chunk out of it, and two
years ago had a nicely streaked division that produced some seed pods. No streaked seedlings, but I
got a really interesting yellow that turns misty gray and then blue over the season.
Each year I expect that this plant will just disappear on me, but so far, so good. I've had it since 2000,
so it's just finishing year 11.

This is the brightest the center has been (planted 08), though still one division. Pic from May.

I got a ugly little one. Don't think I have any pics of it and it's pretty much done for the year. Curious to see how it does last year.

I can put my hands on a pic for this one. Unfortunately, this plant right now is living in a large dish underneath a pine tree; we had to lift it (ugh!) in order to repave the driveway. I hope it doesn't suffer too much, as it is one of our prize hostas.

Lovely. Am keeping my fingers crossed that is survives all right. (Might be a good opportunity to divide it and either plant it in a group for a larger clump or grow it in more than one location?)

It's a favorite of mine! I have 2. The first one grows in mid-day sun, 11:00-2:00. The second one is in sun from about 1:00-3:00. Both are young, less than 3 yrs old.

Here up north the need full sun and then they are still slow but growing to some of the most beautiful hostas I know

Poul - if still one eye next spring it is time to tell it who is the master
One eye, stomp it and if potted, get it out of the pot, it do not benefit it at all, sun and water are key words

This one is fully mature - I've had it more than a decade and I see little or no growth from year to year, though it's not huge.

2014 - not much change. I did have a green leaf this year, but it was just a single leaf, not a full eye; so no real division was necessary.

2015 - July 03. Maybe I should have divided out that green leaf last year as this year I had an entire green eye but I was able to cut it out with a root knife (and plant it and grow it as well). My plant gets quite a bit more sun than it used to have because of neighbourhood trees lost to Emerald Ash Borer. It will be interesting to see what difference it makes.

2017 update. It still gets more sun but I've not noticed much change in it. It's likely still too close to my Linden tree. This picture July 12.
