Mine has grown very well after I moved it from a corner that was too dark. Lovely, fragrant blooms.

Here's mine, tucked into too much shade on the north side of my house. I plan on relocating it next year to a sunnier spot.

Funny you bring up this hosta. A fellow hostaholic and I were discussing this hosta today. The old timers like sugar and spice and fragrant bouquet seem to be overlooked lately in favor of some of the newer varieties. Mine are in full bloom now and the fragrance is wondeful!

I quite like this one. I also have 'Sweet Innocence' which I've seen described as a "improved" 'Fragrant Bouquet'. Well not in MY garden it isn't. SI just sat there and barely grew. This summer I dug it and divided it - all 5 eyes after at least 5 years and it's on it's way out to plant sales in the spring. Give me good old FB any day.

Sweet Innocence is one of my favorites but it is slow growing. It never looked right this season from the frost damage in late April. Even Frances Williams didn't grow properly this season.

Here is Sweet Innocence for comparison. I moved it to more sun last year and it is finally looking happy. This family is always slow to take off for me each spring - seems to wait for the heat of summer to really get growing.

It looks good, Paul. How old is the clump?

ViolaAnn, it was planted in 2009 as 3 divisions/eyes and is now up to 6. Like I said above, early in spring SI is slow to leaf out and looks a bit disappointing - then starts to take off well after the others are posing for photos. IMO, Sweet Innocence stands out since not many have this fresh color palette.

Maybe I should keep the largest division of mine and try it in a different location. How does it do with a lot of sun?
Edited to say that THIS post and the one above it are talking of the FB sport, 'Sweet Innocence'.

Here's mine again in 2014. It's looking good. Is also quite mature. Got it in September 2005.
