Name: H. 'Cherry Berry'
Description: Dark green lance shaped leaves with white centre area, irregularly streaked into the green. Slightly rosy petiole. Named after the fall colour of the cherry coloured seed-pods.
Size: Small (15'w x 10"h)
Origin: H. 'Lachman 82-18-1' x H. 'Lachman 81-9-2'
Flowers: Violet flowers
Added to garden: spring 2006
This one has grown well for me. I took a few divisions from it in 2009, but have otherwise left it alone. Love the red scapes and flower pods. Would love to get a seedling to grow, but so far they have all been fatal whites although it does set good fat seeds.

I have had one for years but it's in too much shade. I picked up another one at an "end of season sale" that I will put in more sun.

And redcrx - yours looks like a totally different plant with such narrow centres to the leaves. Interesting. Is there more than one variety of this plant similar to 'Peppermint Ice'?

Mine is quite a mature plant now. There's not a lot of difference in the last 2 years.

2017 - LOTS of slugs as it was really rainy. Hence an early summer picture - July 7.
