Nice pictures. Mine is too far gone for a picture.
Re: Daily Hosta #1 - 'Bridegroom- Add your pics
I Love digital cameras and I try to take pictures of all the hostas once a week; so I end up with quite a few to choose from. I've found I get the best pics on a cloudy day and we've had precious few of them this year; so I don't have as many pics as usual. Hostas being in the shade already, if it's too shady - like rainy, it's often too dark to get good pics w/o flash which distorts the colour.

'Bridegroom' in 2014. It always blooms prolifically.

2015 July 3. As I mentioned above, this one always blooms prolifically. But it also always looks wilted even when it isn't too dry. I decided it doesn't thrill me and since real estate is tight in my city garden, I've divided it up for the Hort. Society next spring and planted something I like better where it was.

Funny you decided to get rid of it, Ann. This is one that has never interested me. I can understand it looking blah at a nursery, but even in gardens it just seems lacking. I do admit to being tempted when it's a large plant on sale.

I think Bridegroom adds great texture in a garden, and is a great bloomer as well. It looks great in a hosta show (or in a flower arrangement). One of the blue ribbons I got in Raleigh was for this entry. I honestly thought it would do better (for a Best of Section); maybe the judges saw something I didn't.

Nice leaf. But mine is divided up unless I decide to keep one of the divisions at the last moment. I've been know to do that.

Re: Daily Hosta #1 - 'Bridegroom- Add your pics
I got a surprise this morning. I was out weeding my front and most overgrown flower bed. The sun started cooking me so I moved to the back yard and started moving pots around and cleaning them up. One of the pots was Bridegroom which I didn't know I had. It was, I thought, just a little solid green plant I got from Art Wrede's Azaela Patch in 2013. It hasn't had much form so far during the past couple of years but it's finally matured enough to see what it really is.
